I Miss the Way Home (Set to release Spring of 2022)
“I Miss the Way Home” is an animated short film based on my commute home on the train, and all the love, fear, and anxiety that came with this. It's more experimental in narrative than my other work, as I'm focusing more on a feeling than a linear storyline with this piece.
IndieGoGo Campaign
This is one of the many projects I worked on during quarantine, and I was able to launch a successful IndieGoGo campaign that ran from August of 2021 to September. We were able to raise over 2k to fund the project, including a zine that we plan to release with the film.
More to come in this section after the film's release!

Final Render
All of the digital 2D parts of this film are animated and colored in Procreate and then composited & spruced up in After Effects and Final Cut Pro. This includes lighting, color correction and in this example, a camera shake to drive home the impact of the train coming through. You can really feel the difference between the flat color pass and the rendered footage!

Final Title Card
Concept art for the title card next to the final thing! The concept is a picture I took then drew over. All of the paper elements I drew in Procreate then cut them out with my Cricut Maker. It's all paper except for the lace, iridescent plastic for the water, beads for the title, and the cotton for the smoke. I love how this turned out and want to develop this technique even further for future concepts.
